“Oregon companies are indomitable. With the economy crashing and burning all around us, this was a record-breaking year for the 100 Best Companies to Work For in Oregon project: 372 organizations and nearly 30,000 employees took part in our 16th annual ranking of the 100 Best.

Even in the worst of times, companies value being a great place to work.

The average overall score of 100 Best Companies inched up 2.1%. Twenty companies are new to the list and 31 more weren't listed in 2008, so half the list changed since last year. The World Newspaper in Coos Bay started The Best of the South Coast in 2008 and Cardinal Services has won the gold medal for World's Best Employment Service in both 2008 & 2009. We look to continue the streak next year!

Reader's Choice gathers thousands of ballots from readers all over Douglas County. Each fall, Roseburg's newspaper The News Review sets out to learn more about what makes Douglas County a special place. Cardinal Services has won the Reader's Choice award for Favorite Employment Agency since 2001 and we are making a run at our 9th straight year!
